Director, Market Strategy & Understanding Job Description As a Director you are collaborative by nature, have an eagle-eye attention to detail and brilliant organizational skills. In this role, you will have the exciting responsibility of being a trusted partner to several leading technology and media companies. You will manage global research projects and help our clients solve their business problems by leveraging multiple research methodologies.

What You Can Expect To Be Doing

Independently price and write full proposals of all types, with goal of growing Ipsos business and presence with assigned clients.

Have a vision of the spectrum of client needs and help connect the dots between projects; may include linking projects to each other, pulling in other service lines, proactively sharing Ipsos capabilities of interest, and more.

Engage in new business outreach and structured business development plans.

Influential in internal process improvement, cross-sector education and SL expertise, becoming a methodology expert or educating team members on a methodology.

Mentor and train junior team members on best practices and career growth on an ongoing basis.

Create an "internal brand" within Ipsos, guiding what the team is known for as an expert within and outside of Ipsos.

Act as primary project lead to the client, overseeing junior members.

Handle more complex conversations and communications around project design, analysis, and unexpected challenges.

Provide coaching and guidance to junior team members in client interactions.

Perform project management tasks focused on guidance, oversight and review of custom survey development, in-field challenges, and significant input to analysis planning and execution.

Lead or co-lead final report writing, strategic client guidance and presentation of findings.

May act as manager to one or more Account Managers/Senior Account Managers; oversee training schedule, day-to-day guidance, supervision, and provide feedback.

Act as strategic leader for project team and, in some cases, for client account team overall.

Think through implications of actions, identify opportunities and risks, and act accordingly, balancing client needs with optimal outcomes for Ipsos.

Qualifications

Minimum of 7+ years of research experience; ideally at least 5 years on the supplier side.

Strong team leadership skills with experience in mentoring and/or managing others.

Strong Word, Excel, PowerPoint skills.

Superior organizational skills, including ability to manage and delegate work effectively, attention to detail, and commitment to accuracy.

Balance detail orientation with a broader view of each task’s objectives.

Ability to oversee multiple projects, including managing workload of direct reports.

Creative thinking about aligning appropriate project resources.

Strong aptitude for research consulting with highly developed analytic skills.

Strategic thinking about clients’ business and opportunities for Ipsos growth.

Highly motivated, self‑directed, and capable of working within tight deadlines.

Strong relationships with clients.

Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
