Description:
UC San Diego Health is a Magnet designated organization, recognized as a gold standard for nursing excellence. The Division of Otolaryngology provides specialized training in ENT, head and neck surgery, and related areas. Autonomous nursing care is expected in accordance with ANA Standards of Practice. This position requires floating between three clinic locations in Hillcrest and La Jolla.
While not required, a cover letter is highly recommended when applying to this position.
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing.
RN License issued by the State of California.
BART or BLS/CPR certification at time of hire with commitment to obtain BART within six (6) months of hire.
Minimum of two (2) years of recent Ambulatory RN experience.
Ambulatory Surgery (Any Specialty) experience.
Ambulatory telephone triage experience.
Strong critical thinking and problem‑solving skills to manage multiple levels of information and responsibilities, and to quickly assess moderately complex problems to develop potential solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
BSN
ENT or Surgery experience.
Special Conditions:
Must be able to work various hours, days, shifts, and various locations based on the 24‑hour Medical Center's business needs.
Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre‑employment physical.
Pay Transparency Act:
Annual Full Pay Range: $180,716 – $180,716 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%). Hourly Equivalent: $86.55 – $86.55 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
