Advanced Practice Provider (Psychiatry) – Trinity Health – Waterloo, Iowa Practice Highlights
Established, well-respected behavioral health practice Clinic-based role with shared call responsibilities Current team: 1 General Psychiatrist, 1 Child Psychiatrist, 1 Psychiatric Hospitalist, 1 ARNP Facilities: 20-bed Inpatient Unit at Waterloo Medical Center, Horizons Chemical Dependency Unit Large support staff of psychologists, social workers, and mental health counselors Responsibilities
Conduct psychiatric evaluations and manage treatment plans for patients with mental health conditions Prescribe medications and monitor therapeutic responses Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and other health professionals to ensure continuity of care Provide patient education and support for families Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) Qualifications
Current Iowa license as a Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) Psychiatric Mental Health certification required Experience in behavioral health or psychiatry strongly desired Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Schedule & Compensation
Schedule: Monday–Friday with shared call as noted above Compensation: Competitive salary with comprehensive benefits, including health, dental, vision, retirement plan, CME allowance, and paid time off Location
