ICONMA
Our Client, a Ev Manufacturing company, is looking for a PLM Solutions Architect for their Palo Alto, CA location.
Responsibilities
Enterprise Architecture (Zoom-out): You are responsible for the holistic "Big Picture" of our Hardware Engineering IT. You ensure that individual decisions in 3DX Enovia or Arena PLM do not lead to isolated silos, but fit into a long-term, scalable enterprise architecture.
Hands-on Implementation (Zoom-in): You don't just stay on the slide-deck level. You configure data models, validate interfaces (MCAD/ECAD) technically yourself, and conduct Proof-of-Concepts (PoC) to prove the feasibility of your strategy.
Integration Design: You design the "Digital Thread" across a heterogeneous landscape (Dassault, Autodesk, Altium, Cadence, Altair). You define where data sovereignty lies (Master Data Management) and how systems communicate via API/Web Services.
Process Harmonization: You abstract complex detailed requirements from mechanics and electronics into generic, maintainable processes (Mechatronic BOM Management, Change Management/ECO) and align them with industry standards.
Technology Radar & Benchmarking: You evaluate new tools and updates. You leverage your experience from other ecosystems (e.g., Siemens Teamcenter) to benchmark our architecture against the market and establish "Best-of-Breed" solutions.
Requirements
The "Elevator Skill": You can abstract complex issues and present them strategically to management (Zoom-out), but in the next meeting, discuss detailed API errors with developers (Zoom-in).
Experience: 10+ Years of practical experience as a Solution Architect in the PLM environment for Electrical HW Engineering in Automotive or Tech industry. You know the pitfalls of monolithic systems and the challenges of modern cloud tools.
Tech Stack: Deep knowledge of Dassault 3DEXPERIENCE (Enovia) is mandatory. Experience with Arena PLM and Siemens Teamcenter (as a reference system) is key.
Domain Expertise: You understand the interdependence of Mechanical (MCAD), Electrical (ECAD), and Simulation (CAE). You know that a component change in the electronics affects the entire vehicle BOM.
Mindset: Implementation-strong and pragmatic ("Getting things done"), but with an unwavering compass for clean architecture and data integrity.
Project & Vendor Management: Experience working directly with external partners, vendors, or service providers to define technical requirements and drive solution delivery is essential.
Soft skills: Strong communication skills and stakeholder management (Business & IT)
