Description:

The Baker Center seeks a Clinical Director to lead strategy and operations of Manville’s clinical programming. The position is open to candidates with a Doctorate in Psychology and a current Massachusetts Psychologist License in good standing, or to Licensed Independent Clinical Social Workers (LICSW) with a minimum of three years of relevant clinical experience.

About Manville Programs Manville School is a therapeutic day school providing special education, clinical, and behavioral support for students in kindergarten through tenth grade with complex social‑emotional, behavioral, and learning needs. It serves up to 115 students from over 50 school districts and employs approximately 100 staff members.

About the Opportunity The Clinical Director is a member of Manville School senior leadership and responsible for overall effectiveness of clinical programming. Duties include building relationships, leading multidisciplinary teams, engaging community partners, supporting evidence‑based practices, hiring, training, and supervising clinical staff.

Key Responsibilities

Member of the senior leadership team, developing long‑ and short‑term goals and metrics for clinical programming.

Supervise the Testing Coordinator and ensure accurate assessments.

Oversee administrative and clinical duties of staff and graduate‑student training.

Ensure evidence‑based assessment, diagnosis, and treatment; provide case management and therapy services.

Make decisions regarding filing 51‑A's for child abuse and neglect.

Oversee schoolwide social‑emotional learning curriculum and PBIS alignment.

Design and conduct group and dyad treatments for specific needs.

Act as administrative supervisor to the psychopharmacologist and manage admissions to psychiatry service.

Assist in developing training policies, including for an APA‑accredited pre‑doctoral psychology internship.

Lead in‑service training with senior leadership team.

Chair multidisciplinary meetings with teachers, specialists, and counseling staff.

Key Qualifications

Education:

Doctorate in Psychology with current Massachusetts Psychologist Licensure (preferred).

LICSW with minimum 3 years relevant experience (also considered).

Experience:

At least 5 years of administrative experience supervising clinicians in a therapeutic school‑based program.

Experience in clinical treatment of children, adolescents, families, and doctoral student supervision.

Expertise in trauma‑informed care, crisis management, verbal de‑escalation, and risk assessment.

Expertise in case management, evaluation, and diagnostic recommendations.

Training:

Verbal de‑escalation and behavior support strategies.

Evidence‑based clinical interventions.

Knowledge of adapting EBPs to students with complex presentations.

Skills:

Positive leadership capacity.

Effective motivation and supervision Creative problem‑solving and crisis intervention.

Doctorate in Psychology:

$125,000 – $145,000
