Position Overview The Senior Director of Development, Corporate Relations will focus on initiating, building, and sustaining mutually beneficial relationships with corporate and other partners that advance UNT mission. The Senior Director will manage a select portfolio of prospective and ongoing relationships, collaborating across all University departments to promote and secure funding for top priorities.

Responsibilities

Generate revenue through key sponsorships for signature events and programs.

Develop and maintain strategic corporate relationships, including identify prospects, craft proposals, and secure multi-year commitments.

Collaborate with faculty, staff, and institutional leadership to create a dynamic multi-platform fundraising strategy.

Manage data entry, activity monitoring, and reporting in the database system.

Coordinate stewardship efforts, including follow-up proposals, impact reports, and recognition plans.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and seven years of professional experience in fundraising, donor relations, public relations, or sales; or any equivalent combination.

Preferred Qualifications

Three years of progressively responsible development experience focused on corporate and/or foundation relations in a nonprofit/higher education environment.

Experience working collaboratively with faculty in a Tier One research institution.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Extensive knowledge of philanthropy and fundraising principles.

Demonstrated experience establishing and maintaining professional relationships with internal and external constituents.

Exceptional communications skills.

Ability to manage multiple streams of work and exercise resourcefulness and good judgment.

Physical Requirements

Communicating with others to exchange information.

Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.

Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.

Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.

Work Schedule Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm with occasional evenings and weekends. Flexible and hybrid work schedules to be discussed with supervisor.
