Position Summary Report to Senior Claims Manager. Oversee day‑to‑day management of property & casualty claims, ensuring timely & accurate processing with compliance to policies & regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities Progressive experience managing P&C claims, overseeing TPAs for investigations, settlements, litigation discovery
Review claims for quality & adherence to company standards
Identify claims for settlements & adequacy of reserves; prepare draft settlement requests
Collaborate with HR & Benefits on RTW matters
Collaborate with Safety, Legal & other departments on claim matters
Gather & report claim data for trends & loss control recommendations
Assist in developing claims management procedures
Perform other duties or special projects as assigned
Must perform essential functions with/without accommodation
Working Relationships HR, Legal, Health & Safety, Distribution Center, Culinary Center, Retail Field Ops.
Requirements Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s in risk mgmt & insurance, finance, accounting, criminal justice, or business administration.
Preferred Education:
Same as above.
Minimum Experience:
8‑12 yrs US casualty claims mgmt within risk mgmt dept, broker, carrier, or TPA; large retention or self‑insured programs; familiarity w/ workers comp statutes.
Preferred Experience:
Environmental claims.
Licenses/Certs:
CCP, AIC, CPCU or equivalent preferred.
Soft Skills & Competencies Excellent oral & written comm skills
Strong analytical & critical thinking
Build collab relationships with partners
Strong interpersonal skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Customer‑needs orientation
Team‑work orientation
Travel Limited (5%)
Hours & Conditions Mon‑Fri 8+ hr days in‑office; 1 day remote w/ manager approval.
Physical Requirements Sitting/standing at computer long periods; lift up to 10 lbs.
