Program Overview Peraton is seeking a skilled Full Stack Software Developer to design and build a dynamic, web-based application in a React, Node.js, and AWS environment.
Location On-site, Washington, DC
About the Mission Technology is evolving rapidly, and adversaries are digitally outpacing law enforcement’s ability to keep pace. Those charged with protecting the United States often face challenges in accessing the evidence needed to prosecute crime and prevent terrorism. This role directly supports that mission by delivering secure, scalable, and efficient software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design, test, and develop well-structured, efficient, and testable web-based software using React, AWS, Postgres, and related technologies.
Translate UI/UX design wireframes into functional applications, ensuring reliability through ongoing maintenance, testing, and documentation.
Collaborate with customers and technical teams to translate requirements into Epics, Features, and User Stories for both functional and non-functional needs.
Support Agile teams in backlog planning, work item refinement, and story point estimation.
Define clear acceptance criteria for User Stories and demonstrate completed work to customers at the end of each sprint.
Apply industry-standard design patterns and best practices to software solutions.
Implement secure coding standards to safeguard applications and data.
Develop automated unit and integration tests to support CI/CD pipelines.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; 4 years with an AS/AA degree, or 6 years in lieu of degree.
Experience with using GitLab for CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps deployments.
Experience with microservices, virtualization, and containerized deployments.
Experience with React, Node, and Java.
Experience with SQL Server and PostgreSQL database technologies.
U.S. citizenship required.
A current Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility and the ability to obtain a polygraph.
Salaries and Benefits Target Salary Range: $80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
