Senior Data Engineer – Connex Integration
Crunchtime is a global software platform that powers restaurant operations across more than 150,000 locations worldwide, helping leading brands like Chipotle, Domino’s, Dunkin’, and P.F. Chang’s manage food, labor costs, inventory, scheduling, and compliance.
About the Role We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Data Engineer to join our Connex product‑development team. Connex creates bi‑directional, real‑time integrations with every point‑of‑sale system our customers use. In this fast‑paced environment you will design, build, and maintain data pipelines that enable seamless data flow between customers, partners, and our platform.
What You’ll Do as a Senior Data Engineer
Provide plans, estimates, and status reports for projects and tasks.
Design data pipeline solutions, analyze customer data, identify patterns, and perform data profiling to reverse engineer schemas or API documentation.
Develop and optimize high‑performance data pipelines, delivery networks, and bi‑directional data exchanges.
Write automated unit, integration, and regression tests.
Offer escalated technical support and troubleshoot production issues.
Train customers and teams on software features and the integration platform.
Monitor software process health and resolve issues promptly.
What We’re Looking For
4+ years of professional data or software development experience with SQL and Python.
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and detail‑oriented skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
Fundamental understanding of common data structures and algorithms.
Proficiency in handling (structured and semi‑structured) data communication, transformation, and process management.
Experience in manual and automated data testing.
Ability to build repeatable, idempotent ETL/ELT solutions that consume APIs.
Nice to Have
Experience designing and building APIs.
Experience managing Linux, AWS, and performance optimization.
Experience developing CI/CD automation.
