Base pay range $110,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr

Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Job Captain to join our design team. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the production of design development packages and construction document sets. The Job Captain will collaborate closely with the Project Architect, Project Manager, and Senior Designer on both technical and design-related tasks, ensuring accurate, code-compliant, and high-quality deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate, and manage the production of project submissions, including design development and construction documents.

Work directly with Project Architects, Project Managers, and Senior Designers to develop design solutions and technical details.

Provide technical support, redline coordination, and quality control reviews for the production team.

Prepare construction documents, details, schedules, and assist with construction administration tasks such as RFIs and submittal reviews.

Maintain organized project files, documentation, and digital drawing sets.

Attend project meetings and actively support planning, coordination, and problem-solving efforts.

Apply engineering principles, construction methods, building systems knowledge, and code requirements to ensure accurate document production.

Incorporate sustainable design strategies and LEED principles where applicable.

Use AutoCAD, Revit, graphic software, and MS Office applications for project documentation and coordination.

Qualifications

7–10 years of experience in architectural production for commercial, mixed-use, or interior projects.

Proven experience in all phases of architectural design, documentation, and planning.

Strong ability to solve complex design and technical challenges effectively.

Knowledge of LEED principles and sustainable design processes preferred.

Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills.

Education & Licensing

Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design from an accredited institution.

Architectural license not required but preferred; candidates working toward licensure within 3 years are encouraged.

Skills & Competencies

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Office applications.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Collaborative, team-oriented mindset with the ability to work across disciplines.
