Job Summary
Amentum is searching for a Top Secret cleared Software Developer (Senior) to join our team in Washington, DC. As a Top Secret Software Developer for this program, you will be working in an organization that’s mission is to develop and operate the best possible software for critical national security enterprise applications. This organization leverages SCRUM and SAFE Agile software development methodology and strong Dev Ops practices. You will be responsible for developing code, testing and debugging new software or enhancements to existing software. You will have a good understanding of business applications as well as user, performance, quality, interface, and security requirements.
You will work with technical team to understand problems with software and resolve them. You will resolve customer complaints with software and respond to suggestions for improvements and enhancements. You will be responsible for design, testing, security lockdown implementation, integration with standard software packages, integration with automated patching and deployment technologies, documentation, and training to include automating application and configuration deployments and updates.
Responsibilities A typical day in the life on this program involves:
Lead the efforts of: Design, develop, test, maintain and deploy new software applications
Analyze and design new software solutions based on user and technical requirements
Develop software in the AWS cloud
Analyze existing architecture and new requirements and prepare technical recommendations
Collaborate with cross functional teams
Respond outside of core business hours to critical tickets and incidents related to the application
Manage and mentor other development team members
Requirements
Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
Minimum of 8 years of experience with 6 years of related technical specialized experience
Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or other related field
In absence of degree, additional years of experience may be substituted for educational requirements
Clearance Required Top Secret with SCI eligibility
Minimum Education
Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or other related field

Salary and Other Compensation The annual starting salary for this position is between $157,000-187,000 annually. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
Benefits The Company offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, life insurance, long-term disability insurance, short-term disability insurance, 17 days paid time off, up to 12 weeks annual paid maternity leave, up to 6 weeks annual paid parental leave, as well as 7 company holidays and 4 floating holidays annually.
