Job Description Summary We are seeking a highly motivated, detail‑oriented, proactive Tool Administrator to support configuration, maintenance, and user support of the Atlassian cloud product suite (Jira, Confluence, etc.) and related tools. This entry‑level role is ideal for someone eager to grow expertise in tool administration, automation, and agile practices. The candidate will work closely with senior administrators and cross‑functional teams to ensure tools support business needs.
Responsibilities
Tool Support & Maintenance: Aid in configuring and maintaining Jira, Confluence, and Jira Service Management under mentorship from senior staff, with a focus on precision and consistency. You will ensure these tools are impeccably maintained and configured to support our business needs.
User Support: Handle service tickets for access, issue investigation, and basic configuration requests with a customer‑centric perspective and meticulous attention to detail. Engage in evaluating change requests and validation activities, ensuring quality and compliance. Your diligent support will guarantee flawless tool performance and user delight.
Documentation & Training: Contribute to clear, accurate documentation and training materials to support end users and internal processes. This responsibility includes crafting world‑class resources that empower our teams to use these tools optimally.
Automation & Integration: Gain skills in building, implementing, and supporting basic automation and integrations between Atlassian tools and other platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Aha!, GitHub). Your work will help streamline processes and improve efficiency across the organization.
Collaboration: Engage with multi‑functional teams and enterprise administrators to comprehend tool usage and actively contribute to improvement initiatives. Your collaborative efforts will be essential in driving continuous improvement and innovation.
Skills and Proficiencies
Basic understanding of Jira and Confluence cloud administration.
Ability to learn technical concepts quickly and effectively.
Familiarity with agile methodologies and project tracking tools.
Problem‑solving approach and attention to detail.
Ability to follow detailed procedures and contribute to process improvements.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related field or equivalent experience.
Experience with Atlassian tools or similar platforms.
Exposure to scripting or REST APIs is a plus.
Atlassian certification ACP‑120 preferred, but not required.
Experience with Aha!, GitHub, or Salesforce is a bonus.
Salary Range $70,200.00 – $115,800.00 USD Annual
