Raven is seeking a visionary and strategic
Director of Business Development
to lead our client acquisition, relationship development and growth. As we continue expanding our impact in the live events, brand activation, experiential, and creative production worlds, this role will guide how Raven presents itself—our story, our capabilities, our partnerships, and our value.
This position is ideal for a strategic marketer with deep experiential instincts—someone who understands how agencies, brands, producers, and creative studios collaborate, and who can help Raven communicate its strengths with clarity, confidence, and sophistication. Your work will influence how Raven shows up nationally: visually, verbally, strategically, and relationally. This role also serves as a cultural and creative evangelist for Raven—someone who can articulate our values, celebrate what makes our team exceptional, and inspire both our internal culture and our industry relationships. You will be the primary storyteller for Raven, helping our people feel proud of the work we do while helping the world understand who we are.
Core Responsibilities Brand Positioning & Structure
Lead a company-wide effort to refine Raven’s market position, value proposition, and public-facing narrative.
Collaborate with the CEO, CCO, and COO to explore pathways such as expanding creative services, elevating experiential capabilities, and cultivating our design studio.
Ensure all repositioning efforts support—rather than disrupt—our existing agency and producer partnerships.
Develop a multi-year roadmap for marketing growth, including brand strategy, content, digital presence, and partnerships.
Create a scalable inbound/outbound lead generation strategy targeting experiential agencies, producers, and brand clients.
Oversee all aspects of Raven’s marketing strategy and voice, visual identity, content strategy, case studies, and outbound presence.
Create performance benchmarks and guide Sales Team to meet individual and departmental goals.
Identify high-impact opportunities: trade shows, conferences, thought leadership, sponsorships, press, and industry events.
Ensure our digital ecosystem—website, social, portfolio, CRM integrations—reflects a top-tier creative and experiential fabrication brand.
Ensure all sales activity is documented, trackable, and transparent.
Partnership & Relationship Development
Elevate Raven’s visibility within the experiential landscape and cultivate new relationships with agencies, producers, and brands.
Support strategic introductions and opportunities without competing with our existing partners.
Strengthen inbound pipelines by crafting a recognizable, world-class brand presence.
Partner with account managers to elevate proposals, pitch decks, and client-facing narratives.
Represent Raven at industry conferences, events, award shows, and networking gatherings to amplify our brand presence and build authentic relationships across the experiential ecosystem.
Once the marketing and brand strategy is established, gradually assume oversight of the Sales division (Account Managers, Estimation, and related roles).
Implement scalable systems for pipeline visibility, reporting, inbound/outbound workflows, CRM, and communications.
Build frameworks for accountability, performance, and continuous improvement across the revenue organization.
Ensure alignment between sales, creative, operations, and finance as Raven scales toward national growth.
Evaluate and implement CRM software, analytics, and workflow tools to support modern, integrated sales and marketing operations.
Improve visibility around deadlines, estimates, inbound leads, and communication between teams.
Leverage AI and emerging technologies to enhance productivity, storytelling, and reporting.
Brand Evangelism & Culture Building
Serve as an ambassador for Raven’s values, creativity, and culture—both internally and externally.
Champion internal storytelling that highlights team wins, milestones, innovations, and creative breakthroughs.
Partner with HR and leadership to help reinforce culture, boost morale, and strengthen Raven’s identity as a creative, mission-driven team.
Key Qualifications
3+ years in marketing, brand strategy, or business development roles within experiential marketing, creative studios, brand activations, or closely related industries.
Proven ability to shape and articulate a brand’s position in a crowded or evolving market.
Strong understanding of how agencies, brands, producers, and fabricators collaborate (and how to communicate value at each step).
Experience leading teams, building systems, and unifying marketing and sales efforts.
Clear, compelling communication—both written and visual—with an eye for narrative quality and creative excellence.
Proficiency with CRM tools, project management platforms, analytics software, and modern digital marketing tools.
Collaborative mindset and appetite for co-creating strategy with leadership.
Familiarity with fabrication, event production, large-scale builds, experiential creative, or live events is a plus.
