Overview
Einstein Bros. Bagels has been baking fresh bagels daily since 1995, providing more than just great breakfast – we spread joy, laugh together, and prioritize work‑life balance. Our stores close at 2 pm, ensuring our team can attend life’s moments after the day’s work ends.
Day in the Life
Our stores have a one‑shift model; GMs start as early as 4 am for the first bake, open the location, and then oversee daily operations. The GM ensures audit readiness, execution of catering/mobile/in‑store orders, and delivers an exceptional customer experience. During busy periods GMs float throughout all positions, manage breaks, and maintain high survey scores. Closing takes 30‑45 minutes, after which administrative tasks—inventory, scheduling, and bank deposits—are completed. A 5‑week training program equips you to manage these responsibilities confidently.
Responsibilities
• Manage all aspects of the store with a “treat it like you own it” mentality.
• Oversee staffing, training, and talent development.
• Execute P&L analysis and implement strategies to achieve food cost and labor targets.
• Drive customer satisfaction and maintain high survey results.
• Handle daily deposits, inventory, scheduling, and closing procedures.
• Lead the team through breakfast and lunch rushes, ensuring operational excellence.
Qualifications
• Minimum 18 years old.
• 1–3 years of prior General Manager or Assistant General Manager experience in a restaurant setting.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Prior exposure to P&L analysis is valuable; proven strategies for food cost and labor target achievement required.
• Strong recruiting and internal talent development skills.
