Job Description Summary Contribute to product strategy alongside cross‑functional stakeholders, implement an architectural roadmap balancing innovation, regulatory compliance, customer needs, and profitability, and enhance the customer experience while monitoring success metrics through usability studies and market analysis.

Essential Responsibilities

Input to product strategy with cross‑functional stakeholders consistent with the shared vision for the product or enabling platform.

Implement the architectural roadmap balancing innovative design, technical implementation, regulatory requirements, time‑to‑market, customer needs, and product profitability.

Control for the customer experience and needs in product requirements and as input to decision making.

Monitor metrics that inform product success, including usability studies, research, and market analysis.

Manage workstreams for analytics, customer discovery, market research, and competitive analysis to drive data‑driven decision‑making.

Monitor product profitability measures, including budget.

Participate in operational mechanisms that drive execution and accountability (Product Reviews, Operating Reviews, Business Reviews) and interface with product and technology leadership as needed.

Partner with content developers, data scientists, product designers, and user experience researchers.

Expected Qualifications

5+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications

10+ years of product management experience with a significant focus on payments, fintech, platforms, or marketplace ecosystems.

Proven track record in building and scaling B2B or platform products, with deep expertise in SDKs, APIs, and developer experience.

Demonstrated experience building and launching embedded payments and financial services solutions within platform or SaaS environments.

Strong platform thinking: ability to design solutions that serve both business and technical stakeholders, including developers, compliance, and operations.

Experience managing the partner lifecycle: onboarding, enablement, engagement, performance tracking, and renewal/termination.

Customer champion: comfortable engaging with strategic partners, building deep, trusted relationships, and advocating for their needs throughout the product lifecycle.

Exceptional analytical skills and a data‑driven approach to product strategy and success measurement.

Outstanding cross‑functional leadership and communication skills; able to influence and align stakeholders at all levels.

Experience working with compliance, risk, and regulatory requirements in payments or financial services.

Customer‑obsessed mindset with a passion for delivering outstanding user and developer experiences for partners and their merchants.

MBA preferred; advanced technical background a plus.

PayPal is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Actual compensation is based on relevant skills and experience. The U.S. national annual pay range for this role is $218,000 – $259,000.
