CADD Manager
Toole Design Group is seeking a talented full-time CADD Manager who is passionate about communicating design intent using CADD software. The ideal candidate will be an expert in AutoCAD or MicroStation, a leader who can mentor a talented CADD user group, and a champion of high‑quality CADD deliverables from concept through final design plans.

A Day in the Life of a CADD Manager As a CADD Manager, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the firm’s CADD operations and standards. Your responsibilities include:
Developing and managing company standards and workflows that produce high‑quality transportation infrastructure projects.
Guiding designers to apply industry best practices and produce a wide variety of CADD‑based deliverables, from concept to detailed final design plans.
Supporting a multidisciplinary team of engineers, landscape architects, urban designers, and CADD technicians to produce graphically consistent and technically accurate deliverables.
Overseeing CADD efficiency, training, standards, communications, troubleshooting, and the overall CADD practice.
Managing multiple CADD design software platforms, including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, and Bluebeam.
Qualifications
Associate degree or certification in CADD, Engineering Technology, or comparable; additional experience may substitute for a degree.
15+ years of experience, preferably in roadway design.
4+ years of experience in CADD management.
Proficiency with AutoCAD or MicroStation in a roadway design environment.
Familiarity with modeling components of Civil 3D or OpenRoads Designer.
Experience developing templates, standards, and workflows in AutoCAD/Civil 3D or MicroStation/OpenRoads Designer.
Experience with user and environment configuration for MicroStation or AutoCAD operating systems.
Experience working in a CADD consulting environment and interacting with internal colleagues and external consultants.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with corridor modeling in Civil 3D or OpenRoads Designer.
Experience with MicroStation/OpenRoads Designer workspace setup and maintenance.
Experience with Bluebeam, including troubleshooting, custom profiles, and tool chest development.
Familiarity with computer hardware, operating systems, and basic networking troubleshooting.
Experience with ProjectWise configuration and maintenance.
Ideal Candidate

Highly organized, able to coordinate multiple assignments concurrently, and enjoys problem solving.
Work Schedule and Compensation This full‑time position typically requires a 40‑hour week. Employees receive the flexibility to work from home two days per week. The salary range is $100,000 to $130,000, with additional compensation available for candidates who exceed the job requirements. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement, a health savings account (HSA), and a flexible spending account (FSA). All staff receive eight holidays and at least 16 days of paid time off (PTO). Transportation incentives are also provided to promote biking, walking, or transit usage.
