Supply Chain Business Manager (Commodities)
Base pay range
$55.00/hr - $63.00/hr
Responsibilities Kforce's notable Semiconductor Client is looking for a Supply Chain Specialist to come on board and join one of their 3 Commodity Teams located in Fremont or Livermore, CA and Tualatin, OR. This is a 1 year contract to start. Summary: As a Supply Chain Business Manager, you will help drive delivery and supplier operational excellence within a global supply chain. This role is within the Supply Chain Commodity team and is instrumental in helping Supply Chain navigate through record ramps and other operational complexities thrown our way. In this position, you will help manage global factories and have responsibility for multiple suppliers within various commodities.
Plans, schedules, and monitors the movement of materials through the production cycle to determine required materials purchases
Defines metrics and monitors supplier performance against these expectations to ensure continuous supplier improvement; regularly evaluates quality and performance benchmarks, and the risks associated with the preferred supply base selection
Continuously works on process improvement to deploy and develop best known methods related to procurement, inventory control (e.g., JIT, Kanban, min/max) and manufacturing strategies
Establishes goals with supplier to ensure material delivery meets forecasted demand
Represents supplier business management on a cross-functional commodity team that focuses on supply challenges, and to ensure internal/external customer needs are satisfied
Works with engineering and the supplier to resolve complex problems to ensure on time delivery of critical material to support customer and company requirements
Develops presentation, white papers, process flow charts to support continuous process improvement projects
Works with supplier to monitor product cost preventing negative PPV and supporting cost reduction efforts
Requirements
3 years of experience minimum
Supply chain experience in Operations/Delivery Management (Tactical requirements); not strategic supply chain experience
SAP (heavily preferred so don't have to train); okay to have some experience with SAP in the past as they would just need a quick refresher
Excel skills
Problem solving ability; will need to understand what mitigation options there are and would be needed through ramp
Commodity experience ideally - Technology (new product development - worked with product group), fabrication - read print, OEM - off the shelf materials
