Job Overview

We are searching for an

Assistant Store Manager

with previous experience to help support store operations and customer-facing tasks. The assistant will manage store opening and closing operations, ensure store processes run smoothly, and provide a great in-store experience. The role reports to the Store Manager and requires strong attention to detail and expert knowledge of store processes.

What You Will Achieve

Manage a team of Brand Associates, setting expectations, goals, and developing talent. Act as the manager on duty, delivering results while ensuring a positive customer and employee experience. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment. Set high store standards that reflect the company brand, values, and culture. Serve as a subject matter expert on POP MART core business information, including characters, products, and company history. Support marketing events such as in-store events, pop-up events, conventions, and new store openings. Assist the RoboShop business, following up with employees and partners as needed. Improve sales performance and meet key indicators such as conversion, units per transaction, and dollars per transaction. Drive sales of key products such as Blind boxes, MEGA, and accessories. Work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Visual Merchandising & Inventory Management

Execute visual merchandising and marketing directives from business partners. Set up marketing decals, props, planograms, and fixtures. Re-merchandise the sales floor based on product sell-through, making strategic decisions aligned with business needs. Collaborate with Inventory ASM to determine BOH and warehouse inventory levels. Perform back-of-house organization, inventory management, receiving/transferring goods, and conduct weekly/quarterly audits.

Qualifications

Retail industry knowledge, skills, and abilities. Confident and comfortable engaging customers to deliver a great experience. More than 2 years of store leadership experience in retail. High level of ethics, values, integrity, and trust. Experience working independently in an ambiguous environment with minimal supervision. Demonstrated ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions and implement effective solutions. Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and implement new standardization directives. High School Diploma. Must be 18 years old or older.

Physical Requirements

Regularly lift, carry, and move merchandise and supplies up to 50 lbs. Stand and walk for extended periods (up to 6-8 hours per shift). Bend, kneel, reach, and climb ladders or step stools safely. Perform repetitive tasks such as unpacking boxes, tagging items, and stocking shelves. Work in a fast-paced environment that may require quick movements and multitasking. Work in varying temperature conditions, including stockroom and receiving areas. Manual dexterity required to operate standard stockroom tools (e.g., box cutters).
