Vice President, Analytics, Strategy and Research
The College of DuPage is a comprehensive community college located 27 miles west of downtown Chicago. We prepare students for a lifelong passion for learning on our 273‑acre campus, offering nine associate degrees and a wide variety of professional and technical certificates. Many of these credentials enable students to seamlessly transition into the baccalaureate programs of our higher‑education partner institutions.

Responsibilities
Lead the design, execution, and evaluation of the College’s strategic and annual plans in collaboration with the President, Cabinet, and campus community, ensuring alignment between institutional priorities, measurable outcomes, and continuous improvement efforts.
Provide overall leadership to analytics and institutional research, ensuring effective data governance, advanced analytics capabilities, and operational excellence in research design, data collection, and strategic reporting.
Champion a culture of data‑informed decision‑making by embedding performance metrics into institutional operations, promoting data literacy, and providing actionable insights that guide planning and resource allocation.
Advance the use of artificial intelligence and predictive analytics to identify trends, anticipate challenges, and inform strategic decision‑making that enhances student success and institutional performance.
Oversee institutional accreditation and regulatory compliance activities, coordinating the development, monitoring, and reporting of key performance indicators to meet the requirements of the Higher Learning Commission and state agencies.
Collaborate with Cabinet colleagues and campus stakeholders to align research and analytics with the College’s vision, mission, and strategic goals, while fostering the College’s culture of care.
Represent the College as a senior leader and Cabinet member, providing counsel to the President and positioning the College as a leader in research, analytics, and strategy among peer institutions.
Ensure compliance with COD policies and procedures, as well as state and federal requirements for institutional research and reporting.
Perform other duties as assigned or delegated by the President.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in a related field from a regionally accredited college or university is required; a doctorate is preferred.
Ten (10) years of related experience with seven (7) years of progressively responsible supervisory experience in a large, complex organization. Preferred experience in higher education working on a senior‑level team.
Successful experience in the development of strategic/annual planning and evaluation processes to support institutional efficiencies, effectiveness, and performance excellence.
Demonstrated ability to design and sustain performance improvement systems that leverage data and analytics to enhance complex institutional processes, improve organizational effectiveness, and drive a data‑informed culture across a large, suburban college environment.
Comprehensive experience with program‑level and institutional‑level accreditation and reaffirmation processes, with preferred experience in Higher Learning Commission (HLC) accreditation within a multi‑campus or large‑scale college setting.
Successful experience in programmatic, budgetary, and personnel management within a complex, multidepartment organization.
Demonstrated commitment to the College’s culture of care and to understanding and respecting the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, ethnic, and disability backgrounds of students and employees in a suburban community college setting.

Key Criteria Higher Education and Community College Proficiency
Significant experience in higher education, ideally including community colleges, with an understanding of their unique student populations and operational models.
Knowledge of state laws and regulations impacting community colleges, especially regarding data governance, data compliance, and accreditation.
Familiarity with accreditation processes at both institutional and programming levels.
Strategic Leadership and Institutional Planning
Demonstrated success in leading comprehensive strategic planning initiatives, aligning diverse stakeholders, and integrating multiple institutional priorities.
Ability to manage a skilled team within a complex organizational structure while fostering collaboration across a wide spectrum of faculty and staff.
Proven track record of implementing measurable goals and continuous improvement cycles.
Data‑Driven Decision Making and Analytics Expertise
Strong understanding of data systems and institutional research; comfortable with data architecture and analytics.
Experience developing dashboards and tools to support transparency and performance monitoring for students, faculty, and staff.
Ability to build a culture of data literacy and enthusiasm, using storytelling and clear communication to make data actionable.
Skilled in managing vendor partnerships and integrating external solutions with internal processes.
Collaborative Leadership and Key Partnerships
Exceptional interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and diplomacy to navigate consensus‑building across varied stakeholders in a unionized environment.
Ability to prioritize institutional needs while driving change in partnership with IT, academic leadership, student services, marketing, HR, and external university partners.
Attributes include active listening, strong communication, cultural competency, project management skills, and the ability to facilitate difficult conversations.
Salary and Benefits Salary packages start at a minimum of $186,141 based on experience. College of DuPage also offers a generous benefits plan.
