We are seeking a Specialist (Level 3) Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team at the Redmond, Washington facility. In this role, you will develop cutting‑edge electronics for spacecraft power and electric propulsion systems, as well as systems for challenging environments across land, sea, air, and space. Our power systems range from tens of watts to hundreds of kilowatts and include power, low‑voltage analog, high‑voltage analog, mixed‑signal, and digital circuitry.

Essential Functions

Perform detailed circuit design and development, including architecture, analysis, worst‑case analysis, simulation, and PCB layout oversight to convert ideas into physical hardware.

Perform initial power‑up of new circuit board designs and carry out detailed verification, integration, and troubleshooting to ensure designs function as intended.

Support production activities to ensure successful delivery.

Contribute to electronics proposals, feasibility studies, trade studies, and proof‑of‑concept development to support current programs and ensure future program successes.

Train, mentor, and lead other engineers to pursue continual improvement.

Occasional travel may be required.

Candidate must be able to obtain a U.S. security clearance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or Graduate Degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience is required.

Preferred Additional Skills

Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Electronics, or a related engineering/scientific discipline.

Master’s of Science preferred.

Willingness to learn and adapt to changing technologies, tools, requirements, and methodologies.

Experience in DC‑to‑DC converter and other power converter design and development.

Experience in power, analog, digital, and mixed‑signal circuit design and development.

Proficiency in simulation tools such as LTSpice, MATLAB/Simulink, or equivalent.

Experience with PCB design software like Altium Designer, Mentor Graphics, or equivalent.

Experience with laboratory test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, electronic loads, etc.) for debugging and testing circuits.

Experience overseeing circuit board layout.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Ability to lead and mentor more junior engineers.

Compensation & Benefits In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in the state of Washington is $90,500–$168,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation and final offer amounts may vary based on factors including experience and geographic location.
