My client is seeking a Senior Manager, Tax Services to oversee tax compliance, planning, and reporting for a diverse portfolio of clients. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate, compliant filings, providing strategic tax guidance, and mentoring junior staff to strengthen the firm’s tax capabilities. What You’ll Do
Review and, as needed, prepare individual, business, and other federal, state, and local tax returns. Review returns prepared by junior staff for accuracy, completeness, and compliance; provide guidance and feedback. Prepare and review tax projections and estimates. Review fixed asset registers and property tax returns. Respond to federal and multi-jurisdictional notices on behalf of clients. Maintain organized documentation of client records, correspondence, and workpapers in compliance with firm policies. Communicate with clients to gather information, answer questions, and provide tax planning advice. Support recurring client teams and advise contracted clients as needed. Ensure timely and accurate preparation and filing of all applicable taxes. Utilize tax preparation software efficiently and stay current on updates. Manage workload to meet deadlines and client expectations. Mentor and train tax team members on tax preparation, software usage, and client communication. Participate in ongoing educational opportunities to stay current on tax issues. Assist with miscellaneous projects as they arise. What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting and/or Taxation required. 7–8+ years of public accounting or relevant industry experience. Experience with income tax preparation and planning. Working knowledge of financial statements. Proficiency in Excel, Word, and other office software. Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Seniority level
