Director, Solutions & GTM – Greater New York Market

You will be a Director in our Build Capability in the Americas, working as part of a network that brings this to life with our customers in the Greater New York market. You will drive sales and delivery of outcomes for clients across the product lifecycle as we build and modernize digital products, accelerate with on‑demand expertise, and optimize technology platforms and organizations.

What You’ll Do Execute region or country‑wide Capability GTM strategy with market needs, acting as a subject matter expert and thought leader. Collaborate with industry partners to identify and win new customer opportunities, contribute to delivery, and work with leadership to achieve revenue targets and address capability challenges. Live within the Greater New York Market.

Go to Market Approach

Create demand by proactively seeking speaking opportunities as an SME and thought leader at external conferences and events.

Support Slalom‑led thought‑leadership events in the context of Capability and related Client Outcomes.

Ignite awareness and generate demand for Capability and related client outcomes. Lead campaigns, RFIs, RFPs, workshops, and POCs to spark specific opportunities.

Research client portfolio needs and adjust focus to topics of resonance, building relationships with target and active client portfolio.

Business Development & Sales

Partner with industry‑aligned client partners and sales executives to identify and pursue potential technology‑led outcomes.

Act individually as a Solution Lead or SME in the pursuit process, identifying appropriate SMEs from the broader capability team as needed.

Participate in multi‑capability solutioning and client‑outcome based selling motions with GTM team.

Work with peers in other markets and regions to evolve the GTM approach.

Resource Pipeline

Participate in market‑specific and capability‑specific rhythm of business for hiring, staffing, workforce planning; plan for a market‑dedicated capability pool.

People Development

Lead individuals through direct and indirect reporting relationships to scale GTM focus and results in the market.

Oversee an organizational tree that includes team members across levels within a Build discipline of expertise.

Mentor other practitioners in capability work to serve Market’s portfolio.

Participate in performance management via feedback on capability team members assigned to Market pursuits and delivery.

Delivery Management

Contribute to delivery as a Delivery Solution Lead or SME within Market’s portfolio, with a specific utilization target defined by Level.

Engage as a leader within a discipline within the Build Capability, such as Software Engineering, Solution Ownership, Quality Engineering, Intelligence Engineering, or Platform Engineering.

Financial Management

Work with GTM leader and broader capability leadership to contribute to capability‑specific growth and cost projections.

Achieve forecast against revenue targets.

Proactively identify when a capability is unhealthy at Market level to adjust strategy.

Product Engineering – extensive experience leading cross‑discipline teams delivering with Agile methodologies across disciplines like Product Ownership, Software Engineering, Quality Engineering, DevOps, Machine Learning, and Experience Design.

Accelerated Engineering with AI – understands how AI is changing the software development industry and how roles are evolving, enabling teams to work faster and evolve a mature technology organization.

Enhance and Operate – extends teams into production with modern operations techniques such as Site Reliability Engineering.

Team‑Based Delivery at Scale – experience delivering engineering projects using scale teaming models, including Nearshore and Offshore teams.

Product Mindset – has experience with product strategy, working with customers and teams around desired outcomes, and shaping roadmaps.

Working with Partners – works with AWS, Microsoft, Google and other top partners in sales or delivery motions, understanding co‑sell dynamics.

Inspirational Leadership – demonstrates forward‑looking strategic and critical thinking aligned with market needs.

Proactive GTM Mentality – builds relationships and opportunities to proactively grow pipeline without waiting for sales or client partners to generate leads.

We are committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this role, the targeted base salary range for Director is $189,000 to $270,000. Individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Compensation will depend upon individual skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors.
