Assistant Director of Finance

Four Seasons Hotel Miami Four Seasons Hotel Miami is an urban oasis nestled in the residential side of Brickell surrounded by Miami’s favorite neighborhoods. The hotel offers a relaxing two‑acre pool terrace, Equinox Fitness Center & Spa, multi‑million dollar art collection, an award‑winning steakhouse – EDGE Steak & Bar, and connects guests to Miami’s most alluring and vibrant destinations recommended by in‑house experts.
The Opportunity
Assist the Director of Finance in the administration of all financial aspects of the hotel’s operation.
Ensure that all local and corporate policies and procedures are observed, and supervise the day‑to‑day operation of the Accounting office.
Prepare all financial statements, accruals and journal entries, and maintain reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts in established corporate formats and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, USALI 11.
Have a thorough working knowledge of the contents of all volumes of the Accounting & Finance Policies and Procedures. Coordinate, observe and prepare all operating equipment and supply inventories in accordance with corporate policies as directed by the DOF.
Prepare, supervise and liaise with Capgemini on the offshore agreement with relation to Accounts Payable, Income Audit, Payroll, as well as Contracts Management and G/L Reconciliation.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language, Spanish is an asset, but not required.
Must have a thorough knowledge of all jobs in the Accounting area.
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule in order to accomplish all responsibilities and tasks.
Must have a high degree of professional integrity, and be able to work in a safe, prudent and organized manner.
Must have a commitment to follow all local and corporate policies and procedures.
Four years’ experience as a hotel/resort Director or Assistant Director of Finance preferred.
Minimum of BSC or BA in Business Administration with concentration in Accounting/Finance preferred.
