Senior Tax Manager
Want to work with a successful CPA firm that offers full service to their clients? This firm is currently adding a Senior Tax Manager position that entails working with tax compliance and planning engagements to influence strategic business decisions and provide exceptional client service. You will act as a trusted advisor to clients, identify growth opportunities, and mentor junior staff members.
Base pay range : $150,000.00/yr – $190,000.00/yr (additional benefits: 401(k) with employer contributions, generous paid time off, flexible hybrid work arrangement).
Responsibilities:
Review and approve complex federal and state tax returns (partnerships, S Corporations, C Corporations, individuals, trusts, and gift tax returns).
Provide advice on tax strategies, planning, and compliance solutions to help clients achieve their financial objectives.
Build strong relationships with clients, offering proactive advice and business insights.
Conduct detailed research on complex tax issues and deliver actionable recommendations.
Represent clients in interactions with tax authorities, including the IRS.
Mentor and promote professional growth of junior team members while providing timely feedback.
Assist with business development efforts and marketing initiatives for the firm.
Required Qualifications:
CPA license (mandatory).
Minimum 9 years of recent public accounting experience (preferably with small to mid‑sized firms).
Detailed technical expertise with high‑net‑worth individuals, trusts, and businesses.
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in QuickBooks (knowledge of CCH ProSystem preferred).
Experience with international tax issues is a bonus but not mandatory.
