Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Trust & Estates Attorney to join a dynamic legal team in Chicago, IL. Salary will be based on experience and includes a competitive base pay range of $130,000–$200,000 per year.

Responsibilities

Draft wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents.

Develop gift and estate tax planning strategies for high-net‑worth individuals and families.

Administer trusts and estates, including business entity formation and corporate governance maintenance.

Close real estate transactions and prepare federal and Illinois estate tax and federal gift tax returns.

Collaborate with clients, attorneys, and professional service providers.

Qualifications

A Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.

An active Illinois license to practice law.

At least 2+ years of experience as a Trust & Estates Attorney with a strong record in estate planning, individual taxes, and trust, gift, and estate taxes.

Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.

A high level of integrity and professionalism with a commitment to client confidentiality.

Ability to work independently, manage a large caseload, and meet tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
