Universal Banker Perform teller duties, act as a back‑up personal banker, promote Nicolet products and services, maintain vaults and inventory, and ensure compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities
Perform teller duties: organize, balance, and proof cash daily to maintain accurate transactions processed. Identify payees and verify signatures and endorsements.
Act as a back‑up personal banker, opening a variety of accounts, verifying and processing changes to existing accounts, answering customer questions, and resolving related account problems to ensure satisfaction.
Provide customer service including cashing checks, accepting deposits and withdrawals, handling loan payments, dispensing cashier’s checks and bonds, processing savings withdrawals within established guidelines.
Stay current on applicable banking regulations and security procedures to prevent fraud or other bank losses, complying with regulatory requirements.
Answer customer telephone inquiries promptly and professionally, providing accurate information in accordance with bank policies and procedures.
Assist with night depository duties: logging bags, processing deposits, making change orders, issuing receipts.
Promote Nicolet products and services by identifying customer needs and suggesting appropriate products and services to solidify and enhance customer account relationships. Recommend corrective services to resolve customer complaints.
Act as a sales representative of Nicolet products and services to existing and prospective customers in the community through active participation in community events and/or organizations.
Maintain vault: balance daily and order and sell cash for the branch.
Maintain inventory of traveler’s checks, cashier’s checks and gift cards, ensuring adequate supply at all branch locations and ordering when necessary.
Uphold Nicolet’s philosophy and policies by maintaining controls to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, thus fulfilling legal responsibilities and enhancing quality.

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
1+ year(s) of cash handling experience.
