26North is seeking a Vice President to join the Capital Formation team with a dedicated focus on Insurance. This individual will support the Insurance Capital Formation Leader and play a pivotal role in expanding and deepening the firm’s relationships across the insurance ecosystem—including Life, P&C, Health, Reinsurers, and insurance-affiliated asset managers. The ideal candidate combines strong fundraising acumen, product fluency in private credit and alternative investments, and a demonstrated ability to originate and develop sophisticated insurance client relationships. This individual will own fundraising targets, drive new business development, manage existing LP relationships, and contribute to the ongoing evolution of 26North’s insurance-focused product offerings. Responsibilities

Partner with MD on fundraising initiatives with insurance investors across North America, while owning individual capital-raising targets. Proactively identify, cultivate, and convert new insurance relationships across CIOs, portfolio managers, investment teams, and insurance-dedicated allocators. Drive re-ups, expand wallet share, and deepen strategic partnerships with existing insurance LPs. Client Relationship Management

Serve as a primary relationship manager for select insurance clients, ensuring a high-touch and thoughtful client experience. Engage regularly with clients to understand investment objectives, portfolio needs, balance-sheet constraints, and regulatory considerations relevant to insurance capital. Provide ongoing product updates, portfolio insights, and market commentary tailored to the insurance segment. Credit & Product Expertise

Develop a strong understanding of 26North’s platform and serve as a knowledgeable representative of the firm’s Private Equity business, private credit capabilities, and capital structures. Collaborate closely with investment, structuring, and strategy teams to refine and evolve insurance-focused products (e.g., SMAs, rated note feeders, insurance-optimized vehicles). Translate investor feedback into product development needs, working in partnership with senior leadership. Onboarding, Operations & Internal Collaboration

Partner with legal, compliance, operations, and product management teams to facilitate efficient and seamless onboarding processes for insurance clients. Coordinate due-diligence processes, data requests, and investment materials needed for insurance investment committees. Prepare senior executives and deal professionals for investor meetings, ensuring consistent messaging and high-quality engagement. Maintain a detailed view of the insurance fundraising landscape, including competitive dynamics, product trends, balance-sheet regulatory frameworks, and NAIC considerations. Represent 26North as a thought leader with insurance allocators, intermediaries, and industry organizations. Assist with insurance-relevant conferences, speaking engagements, and content development. Qualifications

Experience 7+ years of experience in capital formation, investor relations, institutional fundraising, or client coverage—preferably within private equity, private credit, and insurance-focused asset management. Demonstrated success raising capital from insurance investors or working with insurance general accounts, reinsurers, or insurance asset managers. Strong knowledge of alternative investment strategies, with particular emphasis on private equity and credit-oriented vehicles. Proven ability to originate and monetize relationships with sophisticated institutional clients. Subject matter expertise with insurance investment dynamics, including solvency considerations, capital charges, ratings, and investment structures used by insurers. Exceptional communication skills—able to articulate complex concepts clearly and confidently. Highly motivated self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Collaborative team player with high integrity, sound judgment, and a client-service orientation. Excellent organizational and project-management skills; comfortable managing multiple workflows simultaneously. Strong track record and demonstrated commitment to upholding our core values of excellence, teamwork, stewardship, integrity, and respect. Education Advanced degree, CFA, or relevant certifications preferred but not necessary. Benefits & Additional Information
