Managing Consultant, Strategy & Solutions

This position will work within the Strategy & Solutions Team to identify new offerings, tools, value proposition, positioning, and support the go-to-market plan to drive profitable growth. This role collaborates with the Client Success and Account Management Teams to provide subject matter expertise, support, build capabilities, and scope and deliver within client engagements. The ideal candidate will also mentor others, model a consulting mindset, and provide training and feedback on how to utilize critical thinking to deliver actionable results on client engagements.
Responsibilities Client Delivery (50% - 65%)
Be the subject matter expert to lead, monitor, and evaluate client engagements to achieve optimal results for the client while balancing quality and profitability.
Work closely with the project team to understand and identify client obstacles and adapt project workflow and direction to ensure results align with client goals.
Utilize effective project management skills to clearly define client deliverables and establish milestones through efficient organization and project planning.
Ensure clarity and alignment with the client on problem definitions to outline solutions, approach, key milestones, deliverables, and success metrics.
Contribute as a Subject Matter Expert to execute deliverables, influence key stakeholders, and ensure project scope and deliverables are on target with margin targets achieved.
Use critical thinking skills to synthesize client input, interpret complex data, conduct gap analysis, and translate into actionable recommendations.
Practice Development (30-40%)
Develop and improve solution offerings and our market position utilizing the offering development methodology.
Contribute to organizational and offering strategy through awareness of market trends, industry drivers, and client needs.
Collaborate across service lines to identify and deliver innovative solutions that create client value through sharing of resources, knowledge, and best practices.
Lead and support the creation and growth of mid-revenue cycle solutions in Coding/CDI/Denials/Compliance and Risk Adjustment offerings.
Create new offerings that fuel growth based on market need, including identifying market need, value proposition, competitive landscape, pricing, and outlining approach, tools, templates, and best practices.
Contribute to thought leadership strategy through content creation, hosting, webinars, marketing campaigns, white papers, and speaking engagements.
Provide mentoring and training to consulting staff by sharing expertise related to project deliverables, client communication, project methodologies, data and trend analyses, within a collaborative and supportive structure.
Business Development (20-30%)
Drive growth through identifying new opportunities, collaborating with the Account Management Team, and cultivating trusted relationships with clients by demonstrating value as an SME.
Possess strong knowledge and expertise in Coding, Compliance, CDI Services, UR, Denials Management, Value Based Care and Risk Adjustment models, with solid knowledge of mid-revenue cycle operations and industry trends/drivers.
Serve as an SME to support account management with credibility, crafting proposals, determining solutions, outlining approach, scope of work, and strategies to drive growth of consulting engagements.
Cross-sell/upsell by delivering clear options, priorities, and roadmap recommendations as a core deliverable.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required
Active credential from AHIMA, AAPC, or ACDIS and/or RN or LPN strongly preferred (for CDI/Clinical focused role)
Strong subject matter expertise in Coding, Compliance, CDI, UR, Denials Management, Value Based Care and Risk Adjustment models, with solid knowledge of mid-revenue cycle operations and industry trends/drivers.
Ability to understand the problem and articulate a solution in a simple, clear manner
Ability to synthesize large amounts of data and information and present a clear recommendation, rationale, and plan to the client
Proven foundational consulting skills including analytical and critical thinking, written and verbal communication, client presence, and presentation skills
Strong project management skills with client management experience and business acumen
