The Facilities Portfolio Management Lead ensures the optimal utilization of the organization's facilities. The role tackles problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.
The Lead will be responsible for strategic facility planning and daily management of a diverse portfolio, including administration, production, data centers, and retail facilities.
Key responsibilities include partnering on business continuity and disaster recovery planning in collaboration with Risk Management, Safety & Security, landlords, city & state officials, and other stakeholders to ensure facilities remain operational during emergencies.
This role will collaborate with Project & Construction Management, Workplace Strategy, Energy & Sustainability, and other Workplace functions to deliver optimal outcomes for end users and customers.
Strong technical knowledge in building infrastructure – mechanical, civil, structural, electrical, and building automation systems – is required.
Responsibilities
Plan and manage operating and capital budgets to support business and enterprise goals
Manage external and internal strategic partners to deliver FM services and ensure appropriate service level expectations
Maintain facilities to mitigate risk, ensuring proper maintenance and issue resolution
Establish policies, procedures, standards, and operating processes for operational effectiveness
Provide consultation and manage disaster preparedness and recovery initiatives
Maintain proactive and clear communication with all levels of the organization, partners, and customers
Resolve complex matters with landlords, municipalities, and other external entities
Provide design input for purpose-built buildings and infrastructure that comply with sustainability principles
Optimize total cost of ownership over the life of assets and benchmark to industry practices
Identify and implement practical green building operations and maintenance solutions
Develop asset management plans to minimize downtime, maintenance and cleaning time, and indirect material costs
Establish preventive and condition-based maintenance and industrial cleaning practices
Assist sites with forward-looking investments for operating, maintaining, refurbishing and replacing assets
Develop guiding principles and strategies to optimize portfolio and deliver cost-efficient move services
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or engineering
8+ years managing a geographically dispersed real estate portfolio
10+ years managing facilities management vendors and contractors in critical environments such as data centers or large production environments
2+ years of project/program leadership experience
Passion for continuously improving consumer experiences
Excellent communication and consulting skills
Demonstrated collaboration in managing business partnerships
Ability to travel up to 30% and flexible for incident-related travel
After-hours support as required
Location: Louisville, Kentucky – hybrid office, in office 3-4 days per week
