We are looking for a Portfolio Consulting Manager This opportunity focuses on managing people—not merely providing technical mentorship. This is a remote position located in the contiguous U.S.

You will make an impact as you work on:

Expanding Siemens PTI’s consulting business in power grid analysis and design, system dynamics and transients, system interconnection, and grid code compliance.

Maintaining relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction while finding opportunities to provide further solutions and increase business.

Leading proposal development in response to requests for proposal or other client inquiries.

Leading and growing a team of consultants with varying levels of experience. Set clear expectations and provide regular feedback.

Mentoring people and helping them develop individual skills and career paths while promoting learning from successes and failures.

Managing project execution, tracking project progress, and making necessary adjustments to maintain scope, schedule, budget, and quality.

Collaborating with other Siemens Industry Business Units for a more comprehensive customer engagement.

Minimum requirements:

Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power and Energy Systems.

Proven experience performing power systems analysis for electric utilities, RTOs, and developers.

Proven experience leading and developing teams.

Power systems analysis experience with PSS/E required; experience with other grid analysis software such as TSAT™, TARA, PSLF™, PowerWorld, PSCAD™, etc. highly desired.

Good knowledge of NERC Reliability Standards with understanding of RTO and other regional planning criteria, procedures, and practices.

Strong communication, presentation, and listening skills with demonstrated ability to write effective technical reports.

Ability to travel 10% domestically and internationally.

Preferred qualifications:

At least 10 years of experience related to power systems analysis as described above.

At least 2 years of proven experience managing or developing teams.

Prior consulting experience desired.

Experience working in the PJM, NYISO, and/or SPP regions.
