Seeking a 3-5 year associate attorney with courtroom experience for an AV‑rated defense firm in Houston with Commercial and Business Litigation practice areas. The ideal candidate has experience in contract disputes, arbitration, and handling commercial cases in state and federal courts throughout Texas. This role emphasizes commercial litigation, discovery and motion practice through mediation and trials; requires ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment. A motivated and determined individual will thrive here with career growth opportunities in complex commercial matters and high‑dollar cases, in a team‑oriented, collaborative work environment.
Job Duties and Requirements
Draft pleadings, prepare discovery, brief, and conduct legal research, attend depositions
Conduct mediations, administrative hearings, and make court appearances
Assist in evidentiary hearings, lead temporary injunction and restraining order hearings (plus)
Starting annual base compensation DOE $130K - $150K, solid bonus structure, full suite benefits, 401(k). Daily in‑office role.
