Responsibilities
Close interaction with partners.
Responsible for all phases of tax preparation, tax planning, tax research, tax audit representation, audit, compilation, review, or accounting services engagements.
Serve as a primary contact to clients and effectively plan, organize, and independently conduct activities, including client presentation.
Demonstrate a high degree of loyalty and commitment to the Firm.
Oversee multiple engagements and resolve issues that arise during engagements.
Assist partners in maintaining and monitoring high‑quality control standards.
Draft and assist in the presentation of proposals for engagements and development of new clients.
Continue to demonstrate a high level of technical expertise and develop a reputation in a given industry/service line.
Supervise and review staff, seniors, and managers.
Develop and motivate staff and provide them with counseling and career guidance.
Responsible for billing clients.
Actively participate in Firm industry teams and assist in the development of the Strategic Plan.
Develop and maintain client relationships.
Participate in firm recruiting efforts.
Maintain knowledge of general economic and political trends of possible tax or other legislation that could affect the business climate.
Qualifications
A current and valid certified public accountant license is required; must be a member in good standing with the American Institute of CPAs.
Prefer at least seven (7) years of public accounting experience, demonstrating a progression in complexity, scope, and number of tax or audit engagements managed.
Demonstrated ability to bring in new business to a CPA firm.
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.).
Supervisory experience required.
Ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
Provides superior customer service.
Must have excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, as well as project management and analytical skills.
Customarily and regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment.
