Responsibilities
Lead advisor and accounting expert for a portfolio of GovCon clients
Oversee full-cycle accounting operations including AP, AR, payroll, GL, month-end close
Prepare and review financial statements, reconciliations, variance analyses
Develop budgets, forecasts, indirect rate models, cash flow projections
Guide and mentor junior staff, ensuring quality and consistency across deliverables
Support year-end reporting, 1099s, audits, DCAA compliance
Drive process improvements and strengthen internal controls
Communicate directly with client executives, providing strategic insights and updates
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
CPA or MBA
8–10+ years of accounting experience in government contracting
Management experience leading and developing team members
Unanet or Deltek software experience
Strong grasp of GAAP, FAR, and cost accounting standards
Proven leadership in client relationships and project management
Experience in boutique firms or consulting environments a plus
