Our client is seeking an Associate Attorney with 3–5 years of construction litigation experience to join their team in Chicago. The role involves managing all aspects of construction litigation matters, including motion practice, discovery, depositions, and court appearances. This position offers opportunities for client development and occasional travel.
Responsibilities
Manage construction litigation cases from inception through resolution.
Draft motions and handle discovery requests.
Conduct depositions and represent clients in court proceedings.
Perform legal research and prepare high-quality written work.
Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and assist with business development initiatives.
Collaborate with colleagues to deliver exceptional client service.
Required Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) and active Illinois Bar admission.
3–5 years of construction litigation experience.
Strong academic credentials and excellent writing skills.
Proficient in legal research and oral presentation.
Ability to manage cases independently and work collaboratively.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with client development and marketing initiatives.
Familiarity with complex construction disputes and litigation strategies.
Ability to travel as needed for client or case-related matters.
