Job Description
Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and compassionate
Cardiac Surgery ICU Registered Nurse
to join a high-acuity CSICU team. This role provides specialized care to patients recovering from complex cardiac surgeries and requires strong critical thinking, clinical expertise, and a commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-intensity, evidence-based care for post–cardiac surgery patients.
Complete comprehensive assessments and monitor patient conditions continuously.
Manage treatments autonomously within established protocols.
Advocate for the needs of patients and families throughout the care process.
Protect patient confidentiality and uphold safety standards.
Educate patients and families about medications, procedures, and recovery expectations.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support best practices.
Qualifications Experience
1+ year of acute care RN experience required
ICU experience preferred but not required
Licensure & Certifications
Active
Florida RN License
BLS
required
ACLS
required within 6 months
CCRN
preferred (must be obtained within 2 years)
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
certification required within 30 days
Education
BSN preferred
Work Environment
Night Shift
with rotating weekends
