Midwest Center for Youth and Families (a subsidiary of UHS) has been in operation since 1997, serving youth across the country that are in need of psychiatric treatment for variety of mental health issues. The Midwest Center is a respected healthcare provider, fully accredited, 74-bed private, residential treatment facility with locations in Valparaiso and Kouts, IN. We are dedicated to care of the hearts and minds of our patients with compassion and superior quality behavioral healthcare services through our full-immersion Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) program for children and adolescents ages 10 - 18 who struggle with emotional, behavioral and mental health challenges.

The

Director of Nursing

provides strategic leadership and oversight for all nursing services within a behavioral health setting. This role ensures the delivery of safe, compassionate, trauma-informed, and evidence-based psychiatric care. This person manages nursing operations, supports staff development, and collaborates with medical and administrative leadership to optimize patient outcomes & overall patient experience.

Requirements: Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited school is required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school is preferred. Indiana RN license is required. Minimum of five years experience working in behavioral health field required. Two years of supervisory experience required.
