Maintaining and developing relationships to reinforce a commitment to world-class customer service across the board: including co-workers, clients, subcontractors, vendors, and the design community.
Assisting in locating potential business deals by contacting potential partners, discovering, and exploring opportunities.
Successfully managing JDL's largest and most complex projects.
Assisting in business development by promoting the JDL brand in the marketplace.
Mentoring Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers, establishing annual performance goals, and conducting performance evaluations.
Ensuring a project schedule is in place during setup and sub-bidding that reflects project strategy and supports estimating and subcontractor selection.
Participating in the development and final review of scope, buy-out, and schedule.
Developing purchasing strategies to address challenges during pre-construction.
Executing all project phases including pre-construction, construction, closeout, and post-construction services.
Collaborating with Estimating and Purchasing to ensure profitability, client satisfaction, and optimal subcontractor selection.
Working with the Project Superintendent to maintain an accurate project schedule.
Monitoring financial data to identify potential issues affecting financial performance.
Managing requisitioning and collections to ensure timely payments.
Promoting positive relations with subcontractors and vendors, instilling professionalism and fairness.
Demonstrating leadership and professionalism, serving as a resource for the project team, and assisting in problem-solving.
Meeting regularly with client representatives to determine requirements and promote good relations.
Identifying and implementing value-added services for clients.
Addressing owner, landlord, city, and state requirements to avoid delays and ensure safety and satisfaction.
Developing a comprehensive understanding of project strategy, including financial goals, scheduling, logistics, and milestones.
Maintaining open communication about work changes, conditions, and deviations from the plan.
Reviewing and ensuring timely completion of punch lists.
Participating in company-wide training and mentoring staff.
Occasionally participating in Project Superintendent duties on-site.
