Overview Registered Nurse (Labor & Delivery, L&D) — Night (Overnight) Shift, Full-Time. Our client seeks a dedicated and experienced RN to join the Labor & Delivery (L&D) team for a full-time night shift in a hospital setting. This role is ideal for a clinically strong, compassionate nurse who supports mothers and newborns during critical moments of care and is comfortable working overnight 12-hour shifts.
Base pay $105,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr
Responsibilities Provide intrapartum and postpartum care.
Monitor fetal status and perform fetal monitoring / electronic fetal monitoring (EFM).
Triage and maternal-fetal assessment; respond to emergencies during labor and delivery.
Support mothers and families with education and newborn care; collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
Document care in electronic medical records and maintain accurate clinical charts.
Maintain patient safety and quality of care during 12-hour night shifts.
Qualifications Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Current California Registered Nurse license
Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (required upon hire)
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association (required upon hire)
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification from the American Academy of Pediatrics (required upon hire)
Minimum 1 year of professional nursing experience
Preferred Qualifications National certification in Labor and Delivery or a closely related specialty (preferred)
AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring course (preferred)
Recent experience in an acute care or hospital setting
Prior independent RN experience in Labor and Delivery (beyond orientation) is a plus

The Ideal Candidate Demonstrates strong clinical judgment and proficiency in intrapartum and antepartum care
Comfortable working independently during overnight shifts and making timely decisions in a hospital-based L&D environment
Excellent communicator who collaborates effectively with multidisciplinary teams and provides patient- and family-centered care
Remains calm under pressure with strong critical-thinking skills
Committed to continuous professional development and maintaining up-to-date certifications
