Diesel Mechanic – Heavy Equipment – Location: Dyersville, IA

Job Type: Full-Time Direct hire

Hours: Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm

Sedona Staffing Services, in partnership with a local hiring Dyersville, IA shop is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to join their team. This is a Direct Hire opportunity. The right fit candidate will go directly onto the hiring company’s payroll and be eligible for their full benefits package.

Job Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines and heavy equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, and brake inspections.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in large machinery.
• Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity of equipment.
• Utilize diagnostic tools to identify and resolve engine and system malfunctions.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company standards.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or degree in diesel mechanics preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working on diesel engines and heavy equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Experience with hydraulic, electrical, and fuel systems.
