BCCS is seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant for Our HEP-C Program at our 2713 Lancaster Avenue location in Wilmington, Delaware.

What You’ll Do as a Medical Assistant with Our HEP-C Program: • Support our medical providers and nurses while adhering to high professional conduct and ethical standards • Interview clients, assist with medical exams, collect vital signs, document medications and allergies, perform EKGs, obtain blood draws, collect and process specimens, order supplies • Coordinate physical and behavioral health needs for individuals with HCV and other health conditions. • Serve as the primary point of contact for patients enrolled in the Rapid Hepatitis C Treatment Program • Coordinate all aspects of the treatment plan, including scheduling appointments, labs, referrals and/or follow-ups. Track treatment milestones on a spreadsheet • Communicate effectively with pharmacies and insurance companies to ensure timely medication delivery. • Create and submit prior authorizations for medications when needed. • Perform Rapid Fingerstick tests • Collect drug screens and accurately record results • Maintain accurate documentation and data entry in electronic health records.
Qualifications: • REQUIRED: High School Diploma • REQUIRED: Graduation From a Medical Assistant Program • REQUIRED: CPR Certification • PREFERRED: Phlebotomy Certification • PREFERRED: 1 – 2 Years Medical Assistant Experience
Schedule: • Monday, Wednesday, Friday at the Wilmington location • Tuesday and Thursday at the Newark location • 5:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Pay: • From $17/hour • Commensurate with experience and education!
