Phlebotomist Job at Revel Staffing in Fort Myers

We are conducting a confidential search for a dedicated Phlebotomist to join a clinical laboratory team in Fort Myers. This role is directly involved in patient care, providing safe and accurate specimen collection, processing, and handling while maintaining excellent bedside manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform phlebotomy procedures with a focus on patient comfort and safety.
  

• Collect, label, and process specimens using proper identifiers and universal precautions.
  

• Maintain specimen integrity through proper handling and documentation.
  

• Provide patient instruction for Coumadin and perform limited waived testing (Protimes).
  

• Ensure a clean and organized work area and maintain inventory of supplies.
  

• Support laboratory operations by processing and preparing samples for analysis.
  

• Deliver excellent patient service and represent the healthcare team with professionalism.
  

• Follow all safety, HIPAA, and infection control guidelines.
  

Qualifications:

• One-year certificate from college/technical school OR 3–6 months of relevant phlebotomy experience and training.
  

• Experience in a healthcare or laboratory setting preferred.
  

• MediClear Certification (or equivalent) required.
  

• Knowledge of EMR systems (Athena preferred, but not required).
  

• Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
  

• Positive, energetic attitude with commitment to excellent patient experience.
