Our client provides an affordable, intuitive event management platform that helps local venues compete with large chains, with plans to expand into a broader marketplace of event services.

Role overview

As the Founding Recruiter, you’ll own the full recruiting lifecycle and play a critical role in building the company's team and culture. You’ll develop hiring strategies, source top talent, refine processes, and partner closely with leadership to scale the organization. This is a hybrid role based in San Francisco.

Responsibilities

  • Source, engage, and hire top talent across multiple functions (fully outbound role).
  • Design a best-in-class candidate experience from first touch to offer.
  • Build and amplify the employer brand through strategic channels.
  • Partner with hiring managers on role scoping, job descriptions, and interview decisions.
  • Improve hiring operations, tools, workflows, and analytics.
  • Support early people operations, including onboarding, performance reviews, and culture initiatives.

Requirements

  • 2-3+ years in recruiting or talent acquisition, ideally in high-growth startup or agency environments
  • Strong communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Passion for people, culture, and building from the ground up.
  • Comfortable operating autonomously in a fast-paced startup setting.

Nice to have

  • Hands-on experience with ATS and sourcing tools (e.g., Ashby, Greenhouse, Gem).
  • Demonstrated success filling technical and non-technical roles.
