Salary Range: $77,000 - $122,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Byron Center seeking HR Managers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee full-cycle recruitment and retention for production, technical, and leadership roles.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all labor laws, safety regulations (OSHA), and company policies.
  • Manage employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions for plant personnel.
  • Develop and implement training programs focused on safety, technical skills, and leadership development.
  • Administer compensation, benefits, and manage workers' compensation claims effectively.
  • Facilitate performance management processes and support career development initiatives.
  • Collaborate with operations leadership on strategic workforce planning and organizational development.

Recommended Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive HR management experience, specifically within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws, including OSHA regulations relevant to manufacturing operations
  • Proven expertise in employee relations, talent acquisition, and performance management for a diverse manufacturing workforce
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with plant leadership to align HR strategies with operational goals and drive a positive safety culture
  • Proficiency with HRIS platforms and data analytics to inform HR decisions and improve efficiency

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Previous experience managing union relations or working in a unionized manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in a second language, such as Spanish, to support a diverse workforce.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing-specific health and safety regulations (e.g., OSHA).
