Scheduler and Systems Engineer Are you looking for an opportunity to combine your technical skills with big picture thinking to make an impact in the DoD? Your ability to interpret current capabilities and translate into measurable test criteria to ensure mission needs are met makes you an integral part of delivering a customer-focused engineering solution.
As an engineer on our GSIS team, you’ll work with Booz Allen colleagues and the U.S. Space Force to develop, rapidly deploy, and integrate the next generation of resilient space, ground, and user capabilities across the Space Enterprise to deter attacks and provide critical information to our warfighters to defeat our enemies in battle. Your customer will trust you to not only test, analyze, evaluate, validate, and verify these systems, but also identify areas requiring urgent mitigation up front and early to develop this system with advanced technology solutions. You Have:
5+ years of experience with Systems Engineering or Project Management, schedule planning, and development efforts on space, ground, software, and hardware system Major Defense Acquisition Programs
5+ years of experience developing and managing an integrated, end-to-end IMS including the schedule of key integration, test, transition to operation activities, and critical paths, in order to analyze schedule impacts and recommend corrective actions
Experience developing, documenting, and executing a Lean-Agile process to manage the technical baseline and IMS at all integration levels
Knowledge of scheduling tools such as MS Project, One Pager Pro, Milestones Professional, Sharepoint, MS Excel, and MS Office
Ability to identify, document, and integrate technical and programmatic data describing systems, segments, elements, interrelationships, interdependencies, and external drivers of operational capabilities to review and provide input to the Operational Capability Schedule
Ability to gather data from multiple sources and stakeholders across the program and display it in a useful manner for the customer
Ability to concurrently manage several Enterprise and Program-level schedules and IMS
Ability to communicate and establish collaborative relationships with government clients, Federally Funded Research and Developmental Centers (FFRDC), and associated contractor teammates to achieve program goals
Secret clearance
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering, mathematics, computer science, or technology field
Nice If You Have:
Experience performing systems engineering, program management, and schedule and development activities on space systems
Experience with using Model-Based Systems Engineering approach to manage system definitions and technical baseline
Experience working with large amounts of data
Experience utilizing metrics to improve processes and ensure consistency and standardization across the organization
Knowledge of space systems and the corresponding design, development, manufacturing, integration and test, deployment, operations, and decommissioning activities
Knowledge of DoD 5000.01 or DoD 5000.02
Possession of strong communication and coordination skills
TS / SCI clearance
Master’s degree in an engineering, mathematics, physics, or technology field
INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional certifications, such as ASEP, CSEP, or ESEP certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
