Job Overview The Senior Events Manager plans, executes, and evaluates in-person and virtual events that are in service of the Institute's mission and vision.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Lead on designing, executing, and evaluating in-person and virtual events

Manage event budgets, including expense tracking

Manage relationships with event vendors and partners across Georgetown campuses and beyond

Provide strategic event guidance to Institute leadership

Assist with event marketing and promotion

Mentor and support the Institute's events associate

Work Interactions and Work Mode Designation Reporting to the Director of Strategic Communications, the Senior Events Manager works closely with the Senior Director of Finance and External affairs and the Chief of Staff to develop event budgets, reporting, and analysis. They also serve as an advisor to the Director of Strategic Communications and to substantive directors across the Institute on event strategy.

This position has been designated as Hybrid. Please note that work mode designations are regularly reviewed in order to meet the evolving needs of the University. Requirements and Qualifications

Six to nine years of experience in managing and executing events

Diplomatic and friendly personality

Collaborative spirit with solid relationship-building skills across all levels of an organization

Detailed-orientation and superior organizational skills

Creative problem solver with the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment

Exceptional skills for handling multiple tasks with competing priorities and changing circumstances

Excellent project management skills

Strong communications skills, both oral and written

Experience creating content for social media and newsletters

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite

Preferred Qualifications

Proficiency in Spanish

Experience with Airtable and Slack

Experience with WordPress
