As a Project Controls Analyst, you will be responsible for managing the scope, cost, and schedule of large‑scale construction projects in the electric utilities sector. Working under general direction, you will apply sound judgment and established project governance principles to oversee financial forecasting, schedule development, and performance analysis. Projects are often multi‑year and high‑profile, requiring coordination across cross‑functional teams and multiple locations.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in project controls, financial analysis, and scheduling while contributing to the successful delivery of complex infrastructure initiatives.
Your Day‑to‑Day Activities:
Input and analyze financial forecast data using SAP and Primavera P6
Develop and maintain project schedules, including work breakdown structures, dependencies, and baselines
Assist project managers with business cases, contingency releases, and budget management
Monitor and update cash flow projections to ensure fiscal alignment
Analyze and report on project cost and schedule variances
Develop and maintain tracking tools and reports for performance monitoring
Measure progress of key milestones and activities
Support contract administration, including processing change orders and accrual validation
Coordinate with project teams and stakeholders through regular meetings and updates
Track action items and ensure accountability across team members
Prepare and deliver progress reports to project managers and supervisors
Maintain meeting minutes, action logs, and stakeholder updates
Identify and track project risks, escalating issues to maintain cost and schedule integrity
The Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business, or a related field
Experience in project scheduling and financial analysis
Experience with Primavera P6, including use of dependencies, cost loading, resource loading, and resource leveling
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis tools
You’ll stand out if you have:
Proficiency with SAP
Familiarity with Unifier or ProjectWise project management software
PMP or equivalent certification
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Interest in mentorship and continuous learning
