Wolf & Co
Overview
Wolf Data Solutions (WDS), a division of Wolf & Company, is transforming how organizations use their data to make smarter, faster decisions. We combine strategic data advisory services — including Data & Technology Due Diligence, Data Landscape Assessments, and custom data engineering — with our proprietary InsightOut platform, an end-to-end data management and analytics solution.
Our team partners with private equity firms, financial institutions, and mid-market operators to turn data into a competitive advantage. As we continue to scale, we’re looking for an experienced and customer-oriented Technical Project Manager to help lead our growing portfolio of due diligence and data assessment engagements.
Role Overview
The Technical Project Manager will play a critical role in managing and delivering Wolf Data Solutions’ Due Diligence and Data Landscape Assessment engagements from sales through delivery. This is a client-facing position that requires strong communication, technical fluency, and project management expertise.
You’ll collaborate closely with internal teams — data engineers, analysts, consultants, and leadership — while serving as the primary point of contact for clients. You’ll be responsible for scoping engagements, developing project plans, managing timelines, facilitating stakeholder communication, and ensuring the successful delivery of actionable findings and recommendations.
Responsibilities Client Engagement & Delivery
Serve as the primary client contact for all project phases, from kickoff through final deliverable
Lead discovery sessions with client stakeholders to understand data environments, technology stacks, and reporting challenges
Translate technical findings into clear, business-oriented recommendations and reports
Project Management
Manage multiple concurrent engagements, balancing priorities and maintaining clear communication with internal and external teams
Develop and maintain project timelines, deliverables, and risk mitigation plans
Drive consistency, quality, and repeatability in WDS due diligence and assessment processes
Sales Enablement
Partner with Wolf’s business development and leadership teams to scope new opportunities, craft proposals, and participate in client pitches
Support the transition from sales to delivery by defining project scope, success criteria, and resource plans
Technical & Strategic Insight
Understand and evaluate client data ecosystems (data architecture, pipelines, tools, governance, and reporting maturity)
Identify opportunities for improvement and potential next steps — including data modernization or InsightOut platform adoption
Qualifications
6+ years of experience in technical project management, data consulting, or data strategy delivery (preferably in professional services or advisory environments)
Strong understanding of data architecture, data integration, analytics, and governance concepts
Proven ability to lead client-facing engagements end-to-end — from discovery through executive presentation
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to simplify complex technical concepts for business audiences
Experience working with cross-functional teams (data engineers, analysts, product, and business stakeholders)
PMP or Agile certification a plus
Familiarity with tools such as Azure, AWS, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Snowflake, dbt, or similar platforms preferred
