We are seeking a highly experienced SAP FICO Solution Architect with deep expertise in retail industry processes to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of finance solutions across our SAP landscape.
The ideal candidate will have extensive SAP functional and architectural experience, strong knowledge of retail financial operations, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable SAP solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and implementation of SAP FICO solutions for retail environments.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Architect and optimize finance processes across SAP modules and integrated systems.
Ensure compliance with financial accounting principles and retail-specific P&L structures.
Provide guidance on SAP best practices, system upgrades, and transformation programs.
Oversee integration with MM, SD, Retail, CAR, EWM, TM, and external systems.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
15+ years of hands‑on SAP FICO experience, including at least 5 years in an architect or lead role.
Proven experience in SAP Retail environments with deep understanding of store operations and POS integrations.
Expertise in FI and CO modules: GL, AP, AR, AA, Bank Accounting, CO‑PA, CCA/PCA, Internal Orders, and product costing.
Strong knowledge of S/4HANA Finance, including New GL, Universal Journal (ACDOCA), and Fiori apps.
Hands‑on experience in large‑scale SAP implementations and upgrades.
Strong understanding of integration points with MM, SD, Retail, CAR, EWM, TM.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with SAP BTP, CPI, PI/PO.
Exposure to omnichannel retail and e‑commerce financial flows.
SAP Certifications (e.g., SAP FICO, S/4HANA Finance).
Experience in global retail organizations with multi‑country, multi‑currency environments.
Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies.
Certifications
SAP FICO or S/4HANA Finance certifications (preferred).
Soft Skills
Strong leadership and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
Strategic thinker with excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple initiatives in fast‑paced environments.
