LSSI is hiring a full-time Counselor Case Manager. Responsible for screening children and adults for psychiatric hospitalization and provide intensive short-term services to ensure stabilization.

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Friday (4 hours)

Essential Functions
Assess children, adolescents, and/or adults in psychiatric crisis for hospitalization and facilitate hospitalization at location of need.
Provide crisis counseling and coordination to help stabilize current psychiatric crisis if client does not meet criteria for inpatient hospitalization.
Maintain client record in the electronic health record in accordance with licensure and accreditation standards.
Provide training to new staff on mobile crisis screening events as needed.
Demonstrate professional, positive behavior and carry out responsibilities with integrity, treating clients, families, other LSSI workforce members, and collaborative organizations and/or individual in a dignified, respectful, honest, and fair manner.
Position Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, or related field required.
Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or related field preferred.
Background check, both criminal and DCFS, clearance required.
Certification in IM CAT and/or IM CANS required.
Completion of HFS trainings (de-escalation, Crisis Safety Planning, Mobile Crisis) required.
Trained and proficient in the use of electronic health care record required.
Demonstrated ability and experience working with clients in the community.
Demonstrated ability to communicate in a clear, comprehensible manner, both verbally and in writing.
Excellent organization, presentation, and pc/computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) along with other related software.
Valid driver’s license, in good standing for the state of residency required.
Access to reliable transportation required.
Valid IL statutory minimum liability insurance coverage, bodily injury and property damage required.
