Department University Hospital | Tissue Typing
Scope of Position ABHI certified technologist performing histocompatibility testing and interpreting results in Tissue Typing Laboratory.
Position Summary This position is responsible for performing all clinical testing for histocompatibility. Certification (CHT/ABHI) at the Technologist level, which demonstrates appropriate experience and knowledge to interpret test results and provide high levels of quality control (use of appropriate controls, etc.) is required. Must be available for scheduled 24 hour on‑call, approximately 20‑25% of each month.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Level Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Bachelor's degree in a life science, knowledge of standard immunological lab techniques, or knowledge of histocompatibility and/or 2 years of lab experience
Experience in PCR‑molecular technology helpful
Demonstrable organizational skills, and ability to multi‑task absolutely essential
CHT (ABHI) certification required
